house is situated in a secluded residential area just outside Durham
city. Offering easy access to the city itself and close to the excellent
road network for easy access to the rest of County Durham, My Way
provides an ideal base from which to explore the area. There are a number of excellent walks and cycle tracks within minutes of the house, the Angel of the North, and the Metro Centre, the largest shopping centre in Europe are an easy 15-20 minute drive away. And the picturesque Durham countryside is literally on the doorstep. |

Once
part of the ancient Northern Kingdom of Northumbria, the border area
between England and Scotland; for centuries, County Durham was ruled by
its Prince Bishops who made a major contribution to the area's rich and
unique history. The County's fascinating blend of Christian, social and industrial heritage, combined with some of England's most beautiful and unspoilt landscape, will surprise and delight the visitor. |

Durham Cathedral is high on the list of attractions most visitors want to see. The
magnificent Norman cathedral, founded in 1093, the shrine of St.
Cuthbert and a focus of Christian worship in the Diocese of Durham is a
truly magnificent sight, the cathedral and castle are
both a World Heritage Site. Visitors can see the Monk's Dormitory, Tower, Treasury Museum and Audio-visual presentations. |
